Your committee has worked very hard in putting together the
best possible and complete contest.
Tuesday – April 29
Part 1 of
both Contests will be held in Meeting Room N
Wednesday
–
The 2nd
part of both contests will be conducted on the contest floor
– East Exhibition Hall 1.
Required:
Official
Contest Dress (Both Days)
Student
Resume’ – This will be used by the judge for Interview
portion of contest.
Advisors
will assist the Contest committee in providing at least 1
computers per table of 4 contestants.
The
contest problem will be up and running to be studied at and
manipulated during this debriefing.
Contest
Committee will provide:
2 LCD’s
connected to laptops
2 Large
screens
An
industry person to go over the Arch. Contest problem
projected to screen
An
industry person to go over the Tech. Contest problem
projected to screen
Administer
the SkillsUSA Knowledge Test
Conduct
Interview portion of both Drafting Contests based on Job
Interview Contest rubrics.
This score
to be added for final
scoring to determine winners.
The technical and architectural drafting contest will be similar to other contest in the past. All Drafting Instructors should be aware of the following criteria:
· Registration fee’s this year will be $25.00 for each Drafting Contestants plus an additional $25.00 Contest fee that will be used for prizes. Send a total of $50 for each drafting contestant to the state office for with registration.
· Technical and architectural students maybe required to do sketching and take a written exam. Check website for updates.
· Each school will be required to bring the following:
Ø Computer & Software
Ø Printer (8.5" x 11" paper for Technical and Architectural Drafting)
Ø Power strip
Ø USB-Flash drive
· Dress codes will be strictly enforced this year. Contestants should wear SkillsUSA attires or be dressed in business like manner (dress slacks or skirt, shirt, tie).
· Contestants must bring a one page resume.
